Third: Now let's fill in the blanks with information we know about the periodic table we use today.
During
this portion of the project, information will be gathered as to how to
"fill in the blanks" with the elements needed to manufacture the periodic
table that is in current use today. Starting at this site, decisions
will need to be made as to what structure characteristics are present in
the current periodic table and what elements need to be investigated to
produce the current structure. If additional sites, are needed be
sure to fill in a website
evaluation form in order to use that site as evidence for the report
to be presented in class. Record information on the disk, again,
using the notepad function. This file should be called, "modern periodic
table" construction. Websites from previous work may be used, as
well, for this research. Preparation for a report to be given
during class discussion as to what basis Mendeleev's Periodic table was
changed and what additional research pointed to those changes. Website
information #1 is a starting place.
